Are you a skilled Theatre Practitioner looking for a flexible locum opportunity in a dynamic and supportive team? We are currently seeking an experienced scrub practitioner for a 3-month locum contract, to start as soon as possible, with potential for extension.

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Elective orthopaedic scrub and arthroplasty experience is essential.
  • If you are also trained in ophthalmology, this will be viewed favourably, offering additional opportunities for flexible theatre support.

Three long days per week, or four shorter days. Potentially some Saturdays.

Deliver expert scrub assistance for elective orthopaedic procedures, with a strong emphasis on primary and revision arthroplasty.

Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile theatre environment, ensuring all instruments, implants, and equipment are available and set up accurately.

Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, effective, and patient‑centred surgical care.

Uphold theatre protocols, infection‑control standards, and patient safety procedures.

When required (if dual‑skilled), provide scrub support within ophthalmology theatres.
