Job Description:
Working as part of a skillful multi-discipline team, Head Medical are seeking a Consultant Anaesthesia (General) to come to work for a leading private hospital in the UK.
Based in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, you will be part of a professional, friendly, and compassionate team, ensuring high standards of patient care. The hospital focuses on providing high-quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings.
Shepton Mallet, near the Mendip Hills, offers tranquility and proximity to towns like Wells and Glastonbury, which have high-ranking schools and good transport links to London.
Your responsibilities will include anaesthetising patients for various procedures, from ophthalmology to orthopaedics, gynaecology, and general surgery. You will also engage in departmental administration, management, and mentoring less experienced colleagues.
This role involves elective procedures, with occasional postoperative theatre returns and participation in OPD pre-assessment on a rota basis.
The ideal candidate will have extensive independent procedural experience, excellent clinical records, and the ability to work efficiently in theatre.
This is an opportunity to join an innovative healthcare company, with clinical, teaching, and staff development duties. The typical schedule includes 40 hours per week, with some Saturdays, flexible shifts, and five hours of SPA time weekly.
