The company are in the process of hiring a Business Support Assistant to join their busy administration team. As a Business Support Assistant, you will be making a real contribution towards the smooth running of the business. This role would ideally suit a graduate trainee with excellent A levels (or similar). We’re looking for a proactive and organised Business Support Assistant to support day-to-day operations across multiple departments. This is a varied role offering exposure to different areas of the business, ideal for someone early in their career who enjoys multitasking and learning new skills.
Providing administrative and practical support across departments including finance, sales, marketing, product development and customer service.
Business Support Assistant Key Responsibilities- General Administration - Filing, scanning, photocopying, data entry, binding presentations and maintaining office records including CRM.
- Reception & Sales Support - Greeting visitors, answering incoming calls, taking messages, and directing enquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Preparing outgoing mail and managing Royal Mail and courier collections.
- Office Organisation - Keeping communal areas tidy, restocking supplies, and assisting with basic office maintenance tasks.
- Document Preparation - Assisting with the creation of letters, reports, and other documents under supervision.
- Team Support - Providing ad-hoc support to colleagues across departments as needed, along with covering sick/holiday.
- Showroom – assistance with keeping tidy and up to date with support from marketing.
- Non-Stock Ordering - responsibility of stationary supplies and re-ordering and putting away. Weekly office shopping (grocery delivery and putting away).
- Weekly fruit delivery and distribution to all departments.
- Trade Show, Events and Meetings purchases (online or instore) Book hotels and travel – for employees, customers and agents. Possibility to assist with show sets/attending/travel.
- Meeting assistance – arrange, collect and lay out lunches for business meetings, note taking, sample requests and mock ups.
- Previous admin or office experience is desirable but not essential.
- Driving licence (as travel between two sites is required).
- Proficiency in Maths and English.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
