aNewsreel is a new consumer news app designed to help people understand what's happening in the world without spending hours reading the news.
We summarise important news stories into short, easy-to-understand stories, helping people get up to speed quickly and understand what actually matters .
We're now building our audience and looking for someone who can help us grow through social media.

We're looking for a creative, experienced social media content creator who understands how to create content that people actually want to watch and share.
This is not primarily a social media scheduling role .
We want someone who can take interesting news stories and turn them into engaging content for:
TikTok
Instagram Reels
YouTube Shorts
Instagram Stories
Other social platforms where appropriate
You'll have access to the news content and aNewsreel's stories. Your job will be to turn those stories into compelling social content that grabs attention and encourages people to follow aNewsreel and download the app.
What you'll be doing
Identify interesting and trending news stories that are suitable for social media
Create short-form videos and other social content
Write engaging hooks, captions and headlines
Create Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts
Adapt content for different platforms
Experiment with different formats, hooks and styles
Monitor what performs well and use the results to improve future content
Help develop a consistent social-media voice for aNewsreel
Keep up with current social-media trends and formats
