Female Only Part‑Time & Bank Support Workers – Day Shifts
Location: Hawkhurst and surrounding area, Kent, TN18
Shift: Day shifts, 8.5 hours, 09:30‑18:00
Rate: £16.20 per hour. Bank Holiday paid time‑and‑half.

Head First is recruiting support workers for a 61‑year‑old gentleman with an acquired brain injury who lives in a flat in Hawkhurst, Kent. He has a great sense of humour, appreciates his support team and always tries to maintain his independence. He enjoys going for coffee and cake in the local area as well as day trips further afield.
The day shifts are to support the client to access the community, receive his daily medication and support with activities of daily living and his rehabilitation programme. There are also domestic chores to maintain the client’s accommodation. You will be joining a team of enthusiastic and compassionate individuals who support the client with his daily needs.
Support Requirements- Part‑time and bank support worker, 4‑weekly rolling rota.
- Shifts include weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
- Flexibility required to cover holidays and sickness (days and nights).
- Up‑to‑date DBS at enhanced level, paid for by the employer.
- Client is independent with washing and dressing; minimal personal care required.
- Drive the client in his car – manual driver’s licence required.
- An extensive induction and training programme offering guidance and support every step of the way.
- Comprehensive training on the use of non‑invasive ventilation (client uses this briefly during the day).
- Regular supervision with the Team Leader for ongoing support.
- Annual appraisal with the Case Manager.
- Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Someone who is passionate and committed to their role and the opportunity to get to know the client and make a difference in his daily life.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the wider team.
- Willingness to engage with training to enhance knowledge and skills required to work with the client.
- Previous experience would be an advantage; however, a willingness to learn may be considered.
- Someone with a flexible approach to covering day and night shifts as required for sickness and annual leave.
Head‑First provides regular 1:1 clinical supervision and 24/7 emergency on‑call support. They have experienced payroll and HR teams so support workers always have a point of contact for employment and pay queries. Head‑First does not directly employ support workers, but recruits them on behalf of their clients, with dedicated and experienced case managers responsible for day‑to‑day management of the support team. They provide access to mandatory training and brain injury‑specific training. We are a CQC Registered Case Management company that helps clients recruit their own support workers. You will be directly employed by the client; however, Head‑First oversees all aspects of the client’s care package on his behalf.
