I am currently working for a leading PE backed manufacturing group based near Merthyr who are looking to hire a Senior Financial Controller. In recent years, they have undergone rapid expansion and now employ over 300 people with a turnover in excess of £50 million. Reporting into the Group in a newly created and pivotal position, you will be responsible for managing the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, whilst ensuring adherence to group & statutory compliance. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to move into a newly created position.
Duties include:
- Team and individual management of staff
- Preparation & reporting of monthly cash forecasts
- Preparation & reporting of monthly management accounts & forecasts, including variance analysis
- Statutory reporting; local and Group
- Assist in preparation of reporting & annual budgets
- Gross Margin analysis for business; investigation & feedback into relevant stakeholders on a timely basis
- Develop, improve and manage systems & processes that are best fit for the operation
- Production, maintenance & control of product costs
- Validation of standard material costs
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with ideally a minimum of 5 years PQE and experience of working in the manufacturing sector.
