Head4Talent are currently working exclusively with a fast growing business in Cardiff that is looking to hire a finance business partner. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their business partnering skills while providing meaningful financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Reporting to the FD, you will work closely with both finance and operational teams, delivering high-quality financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, and helping stakeholders understand the financial drivers of business performance.
- Manage the timely and accurate production of monthly financial performance reports.
- Support the development and maintenance of rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and longer-term financial plans.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight and support informed decision-making.
- Build strong working relationships across finance and operations to improve the quality, visibility, and understanding of financial information.
- Assist in establishing and embedding robust financial processes, controls, and reporting standards across the business.
- Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the continuous development of financial reporting and forecasting practices.
- Contribute to wider business performance reviews by providing analysis, commentary, and recommendations.
You will be a confident communicator with strong analytical skills and a passion for partnering with stakeholders to drive business performance.
Qualifications:
- Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Previous experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or a finance business partnering role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively.
