Interim Finance Manager | Bridgend| £45,000-£50,000
Our client, a successful established manufacturing business is recruiting a Finance Manager on an interim/interim to permanent basis.
The role will involve hands on management accounting, month end close and reporting financial information to stakeholders across the business and delivering accurate monthly and quarterly reporting covering monthly management accounts, budget and standard cost variance reporting, project costing, business KPIs and monthly VAT returns.
Monthly Revaluation of FX in line with FRS102. Shared responsibility for balance sheet controls and reconciliations to ensure financial integrity of the management accounts including but not limited to: – review of posted transactions, multi-currency, intercompany reconciliations, fixed asset schedule, stock / WIP. Support the Finance Director to ensure the integrity of financial data / information held, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development and improvement of financial applications, databases and reports. Proactive in understanding how the business operates and its key drivers, identifying and monitoring risks and opportunities with recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities. Support proposers of improvement and development projects including feasibility studies, financial models and business cases. Provide guidance, training and support to Finance team members to ensure accuracy and timely completion of tasks. Coordinate the annual Financial Audit providing guidance to the finance team and working with the Auditors providing assurance of key processes and implementation of recommendations Engage with key stakeholders within the business, developing strong working relationships and ensuring provision of a first-class and professional financial service.
Skills/experience: Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with a minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience. Previous management accounting experience desired. Excellent Microsoft Office skills in particular Excel designing and creating tools and reports. Able to combine good Finance and IT skills with a commercial head for business to help add value to the business in line with business goals. Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with internal and external contacts at all levels to influence and effect change. Achievement orientated with good planning, basic project management, analytical and problem-solving skills to improve / add value to the business.
