Head4Talent are currently working exclusively for a leading PE backed services group that are looking to hire a highly capable and commercially astute Finance Business Partner to join the Finance team. This is a pivotal role, responsible for supporting the owners forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting processes, as well as providing insightful financial analysis to support local decision-making. The successful candidate will combine excellent business partnering skills with strong financial modelling expertise to deliver high-quality insights that drive growth and profitability. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the financial future of a growing business. Part of its growth will be organic, while the acquisitions of new businesses is expected to play a key role. You will work closely with the leadership team and senior finance stakeholders.
Specific responsibilities
- Business Partnering
- Partner with operational and commercial leaders to provide actionable financial insights.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and wider leadership team, driving accountability for performance.
- Support the annual budget and rolling forecast process, including building and maintaining robust financial models.
- Test and challenge assumptions from business leaders to ensure accurate and realistic financial planning.
- Develop KPI development, monitoring, and reporting that support business needs.
- Deliver insightful variance analysis to highlight key drivers of performance.
About you
- Technical Skills
- Strong financial modelling skills (Excel essential, strong experience with complex integrated models).
- Experience in building commercial models to provide insight into project and customer performance.
- Power BI & Power Query knowledge is preferred, but not essential.
- Ability to extract and validate information from business stakeholders.
- Strong track record of partnering with business leaders to deliver insight and challenge assumptions.
- Industry experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to see the big picture while retaining strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to build relationships across all levels.
- Highly proactive and hands-on, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.
