This is a key appointment for the business and a genuine opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director as a trusted finance partner during an exciting phase of growth. The role will suit a hands-on qualified accountant who enjoys operating close to the detail while also contributing strategically to the wider direction of the business. You will take full ownership of the finance function, lead a small team and play a central role in supporting future growth plans. The Role
- Production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Leading and developing a small finance team
- Maintaining strong financial controls and overseeing transactional finance
- Providing commercial insight to support business decision-making
- Driving improvements across systems, reporting and processes
- Partnering with operational stakeholders across the business
- Supporting the ongoing growth and development of the wider group
This is a broad and evolving role with scope to increase in responsibility over time.
About You
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience operating within a fast-paced environment. You will ideally demonstrate:
- Previous experience managing or mentoring a small finance team
- A proactive and hands-on approach
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- The confidence to challenge and influence where required
- The ability to work effectively in a changing environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
