Heacham Junior School is seeking to appoint a class teacher to join their friendly team. We invite applications from enthusiastic, innovative teachers, with ambition, who are passionate about delivering outstanding, inspiring lessons and can work as part of a team. This post would suit a candidate with experience who has ambition to be a future leader. You will be someone who understands and enjoys working with young people, is well organised, flexible, adaptable and enjoys variety in your work. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to motivate students and gain their respect. You will have high expectations of behaviour and achievement and be willing to contribute to school life beyond classroom teaching.

Purpose of the Job

To provide an effective education to pupils within the framework provided by the Headteacher, the Governing Body, DfE and the Local Authority, paying full regard to all statutory requirements.

Main Duties

  • To fulfil the Conditions of Employment for Teachers as defined in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.

  7. Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.
  8. Fulfil wider professional responsibilities.

A teacher is expected to demonstrate consistently high standards of personal and professional conduct. They are to uphold public trust in the profession and maintain high standards of ethics and behaviour, within and outside school.
