We are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Shunter Drivers to work for our client at East Midlands Gateway where the operation is continuing to grow due to customer demand. As a Shunter driver you will ensure yard movements are done correctly and support the smooth running of the operation.This role presents HGV Shunter drivers with ongoing year round work in a clean working environment.
Shift Patterns / Working Hours Available
- Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm (10 hour shifts)
- 4 on 4 off days – 6:30am to 6:30pm (12 hour shifts)
- 4 on 4 off nights – 6:30pm to 6:30am (12 hour shifts)
The Successful Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver Will
- Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 6 months
- Have a valid tacho and DQC card
- Previous experience preferred but training provided
- Have a positive can do attitude
Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver will include:
- Moving trailers or units around the yard
- Ensure safety of others in the yard
You Will Receive
- Days – £16.38 per hour
- Days OT – £24.57 per hour
- Nights – £18.75 per hour
- Nights OT – £28.12 per hour
