Fixed-term one day per week and possible additional relieving Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.2, Start Date: 06/07/2026, End Date: 21/12/2026 (Permanent kaiako reducing hours for period ) Early learning / kōhanga reo, Certificated teacher Mathematics and statistics, Belonging / Mana Whenua, Contribution / Mana Tangata, Communication / Mana Reo, Exploration / Mana Aotūroa, Well-being / Mana Atua Waha Rumaki Allowance We are a small 30 childspace Kaupapa Maori EC setting on northern outskirts of Timaru. Our rolls are full and we support our experienced registered kaiako and in‑training team members with study and work‑life balance days off. We are looking for a kaiako who will complement our Monday teaching team of registered kaiako – the successful NZ resident kaiako would be the 4th certified on Monday; with at least 2 kaiawhina support people rostered. Passion for 'tikanga Maori', whanaungatanga and 'outdoors' a must; willingness to use Te reo Māori and improve competence important. We are keen participants in a University of Canterbury EC research investigating visual assessment, and our whanau have an active committee supporting other projects.
