Preconstruction Manager – MEP | Birmingham | £70k – £80k + Package HDS is partnering with a leading UK contractor to recruit a skilled Preconstruction Manager for multiple exciting projects based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee the MEP elements across several projects, from PCSA and Stage 3 design through to site execution. About the Role: As the Preconstruction Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the MEP preconstruction phase across multiple projects. Your role will involve overseeing the MEP design process from Stage 3 through to site delivery, ensuring all technical and contractual requirements are met. You’ll play a key role in leading the coordination between design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, ensuring that the projects run smoothly and to budget. Key Responsibilities: 🔹 Lead MEP preconstruction activities across multiple projects, from PCSA through Stage 3 design to site handover 🔹 Manage and review MEP design development, ensuring compliance with project requirements and budget 🔹 Coordinate with internal project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project progression 🔹 Provide technical leadership and guidance on MEP systems, ensuring optimal design solutions 🔹 Oversee risk assessments, value engineering, and cost management throughout preconstruction 🔹 Prepare and review all preconstruction documentation, including procurement schedules and MEP system specifications Key Requirements: 🔹 Strong experience in MEP preconstruction management, particularly in commercial or large-scale projects 🔹 In-depth understanding of MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) and their integration into the construction process 🔹 Proven track record in managing projects through PCSA and Stage 3 design stages 🔹 Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders 🔹 Strong attention to detail and ability to foresee potential issues early in the process 🔹 Knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and relevant regulations Why Join This Leading UK Contractor?
