We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a major £200m construction project. This is a senior position on a flagship development, taking full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical packages from pre-construction through to commissioning and final handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of mechanical project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget
  • Manage mechanical subcontractors and site teams across all phases of the project
  • Oversee programme planning, tracking progress, and driving delivery to meet key milestones
  • Ensure health & safety compliance is maintained at the highest standard
  • Lead coordination with main contractor, consultants, and other trades
  • Manage procurement of materials and subcontract packages
  • Oversee QA processes, commissioning, and handover documentation
  • Attend and lead project meetings, providing clear reporting on progress, risks, and performance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on large-scale construction projects
  • Strong track record delivering complex mechanical packages on high-value developments
  • SMSTS (essential)
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred)
  • Strong commercial awareness and programme management experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and drive project performance
