Project Controls Team Lead (Documentation and Technology) leads the Information Management and Document Controls function, ensuring consistent delivery, governance and continuous improvement across the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the UK Project Information Management and Document Control team, including recruitment, onboarding, capability development, utilisation planning and quality assurance.
- Own the IM/DC delivery approach across projects, including mobilisation, resourcing plans, ways of working, templates and training.
- Act as escalation point for CDE and information governance issues; drive timely resolution with project teams, suppliers and clients.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements and relevant standards (ISO 19650), supporting audits/assurance activities and continuous improvement.
- Drive information governance, assurance and reporting via KPIs, SLAs, dashboards and audits.
- Manage risks and issues for information deliverables (late/incomplete submissions, metadata quality, transmittal performance).
- Contribute to, or lead, client‑facing presentations.
- Actively look for ways to improve processes (system or business).
- Provide specialist advice to internal and external clients regarding information management practices and common data environment configuration and management.
- Provide ownership (or super‑user lead) for internal HDR CDE configuration, permissions, workflows, metadata, transmittals and approvals.
- Work with IT/digital teams to facilitate upgrades, access security and change control.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in industry.
- Demonstrable experience in document control/ information management in the industry.
- Hands‑on CDE administration/configuration experience.
- Experience of managing or guiding teams to achieve project/client goals.
- Solid understanding and awareness of industry standards, such as ISO 19650.
- Understanding of typical information deliverables, including registers, workflows, transmittals, naming conventions, metadata, status/suitability codes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Training/coaching capability to build capability in the DC/IM team.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Good leadership and organisational skills.
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of 5 years in development of dashboards.
- Basic understanding of connecting to data and developing dashboards using Power BI.
- Experience with converting business requirements into technical specifications and deciding the timeline to accomplish tasks.
- Understanding of business requirements in the PC tools context and design data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights.
- Knowledge of database fundamentals such as multidimensional database design, relational database design, and more.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
