We bring together planners, engineers, architects, construction management staff, environmental specialists, economists, management consultants, and specialists across disciplines to solve complex mobility challenges with innovation, technical excellence, and a deep understanding of community needs.
This role is for a dynamic, diverse, and talented Senior Transportation Planner to join our growing transport program in the United Kingdom (UK). The position would support the development of transportation planning projects in the UK and similar projects in the US, Canada, and the Middle East.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support project managers in the delivery of transportation projects in the UK and similar projects in the Middle East, USA, and Canada.
- Collate and analyse project data and information.
- Work closely with junior staff and technicians on project development.
- Prepare deliverables including analyses and reports.
- Support the development of project and fee proposals.
- Work directly with clients supporting their transport needs and establish relationships.
- Work collaboratively with other teams in HDR, including those based in the UK, Middle East, and North America.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with transportation planning and urban design.
- Background in active travel, public transport, scheme development, master planning, developing strategies, studies and appraisals, and development control including preparing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
- Possess excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
