As a Digital Team Lead, you will be part of an organisation that is 100% employee‑owned and committed to supporting your professional development, progression, and long‑term career aspirations. In this role, you will provide technical leadership for civil digital design delivery, with a strong focus on BIM processes with Revit and Civil 3D, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, consistently, and in line with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Project Managers to plan upcoming project requirements and allocate digital resources effectively, involving the Civil and Digital Area Business Class Lead’s where necessary.
  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership and support to BIM Coordinators and civil design teams responsible for producing project information models.
  • Lead and undertake audits of Revit and Civil 3D models to ensure compliance with company BIM standards, ISO 19650 principles, and project requirements.
  • Use audit outcomes to identify capability gaps, contribute to training plans, and elevate key issues or risks to the Digital Management Team.
  • Act as the technical interface between designers, clients, architects, and other consultants to ensure coordinated, efficient, and high‑quality digital design delivery.
  • Support project teams by producing clear, accurate, and compliant civil drawings and models in Revit and associated civil design tools.
  • Integrate and promote Quality Assurance procedures across all digital civil design outputs.
  • Coordinate civil design packages with internal disciplines and, where required, external architects, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of BIM, Revit, and CAD standards across the business.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with industry best practice by attending external BIM and digital construction conferences, seminars, and workshops, and disseminate agreed learnings to internal teams.
  • Support the production of digital and technical content for marketing collateral, including case studies and capability material.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and client‑facing skills.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a Civil BIM, Digital Design, or BIM Coordinator role.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Solid understanding of civil engineering design principles, including drainage and basic highway design.
  • Working knowledge of relevant building regulations and industry standards affecting civil design.
  • Good understanding of the construction design team structure, tender processes, and construction delivery.
  • Ability to use the following software competently and independently: Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks (fully proficient), Autodesk Revit (strong working knowledge), Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Solibri (advantageous).
  • ISO 19650 certification (advantageous).

Required Qualifications

  • Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience.
  • A minimum of five years related industry experience.
  • Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
  • Advanced skillset of 3D coordination tool.
  • Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
  • Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and organizational traits are essential.
