HDR is currently seeking a Data Center Project Manager to join one of the largest, fastest growing, and comprehensive TMT (Tech, Media and Telecom) practices in the industry. Opportunities are available in these preferred locations: US: Atlanta, Austin, Bellevue, Boise, Charlotte, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Newark, New York, Omaha, Orlando, Pennington, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Portland, Raleigh, Sacramento/Folsom, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, Walnut Creek. UK: London, Manchester, Glasgow.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver data center projects from upfront planning and pre-design activities through detail design, construction support and commissioning.
- Develop and secure work from a robust global client base and expand upon HDR's reputation within these markets.
- Manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion.
- Coordinate the work of multidiscipline design teams and mentor staff.
- Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings.
- Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards and manage project quality, schedule, scope, and budget.
- Assist in interview preparation and presentations.
- Some travel to job sites or other HDR offices may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in site programming, project planning, design, construction and/or commissioning.
- Previous Data Center/Mission Critical experience in an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm.
- Strong desire to stay current with industry trends.
- Excellent organizational, project management and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Uptime Topology standards, ASHRAE TC 9.9, and ISO standards regarding PUE, CUE, and WUE.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 7 years related experience.
- A minimum of 2 years project management experience.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
