As an Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design and develop detailed electrical systems on a range of projects which include but are not limited to: Data Centers, commercial offices, mixed-use developments, industrial, and healthcare. You will carry out detailed design and calculations in accordance with industry guides, assist and prepare specifications, reports, and drawings to the design programme. You will become an integral part of the design team, taking responsibility and ownership for elements of design production, supporting the team’s common goal.
We are looking for someone who is a personable self-starter with the ability to project a positive ‘can do’ professional attitude at all times, maintaining good working relationships. Someone who enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines and can establish excellent working rapport within the team, business, and with clients.
In the role of Electrical Engineer, we'll count on you to:
- Assist Senior Engineers with detailed design tasks and drawing production on data centre and other projects.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs smoothly into overall projects.
- Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
- Coordinate workload to complete the document on schedule.
- Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
- Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines.
- Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electrical systems, and devices.
Required Qualifications:
- BEng, MSc or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or relevant subject.
- Minimum 3 years industry experience in Electrical Design.
- Electrical design experience working on Data Center/Data Centre/Mission Critical projects is ESSENTIAL.
- Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
- Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, and Revit.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
