HDM Solar Wholesale is one of the UK's fastest-growing renewable energy distributors, supplying solar PV, battery storage, EV charging and associated products to installers nationwide. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a proactive and commercially minded credit controller to join our finance team. This is not a traditional accounts role. We are looking for someone who can build strong customer relationships, manage credit risk, and actively drive cash collection while supporting continued sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of customer accounts
- Chasing overdue invoices via telephone and email
- Reviewing and setting customer credit limits
- Monitoring customer exposure and payment performance
- Investigating and resolving invoice disputes
- Working closely with sales and operations teams
- Producing aged debt and collection reports
- Supporting credit insurance and credit reference processes
- Helping to improve systems, reporting and automation within the credit control function
- Processing receipts and reconciling the sales ledger
Requirements & Skills
- Previous credit control experience within a B2B environment
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Confidence dealing with customers at all levels
- Commercial awareness and sound judgement
- Good Microsoft Excel and systems skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
- At least 10 years of experience within wholesale or distribution
