The role

  • To support the underwriting team in creation of underwriting templates, pre-underwriting due diligence and underwriting information collation.
  • To support the underwriting team with specific CPRI line of business tasks including enquiry distribution, meeting agendas, website updates, new client on-boarding, NDA agreements and ad hoc direct client processing including invoicing.
  • Assist in the development of underwriting tools such as pricing, MI and Underwriting templates.
  • To analyse, assess and underwrite lower complexity business as identified by Senior Underwriters and colleagues.
  • To maintain underwriting discipline and divisional guidelines within the team and operate within granted authority levels.
  • Key accountabilities
  • Team Support
  • Monitor team inbox and coordinate and allocate enquiries to Underwriters.
  • Manage client onboarding activities, including KYC requirements and related documentation.
  • Support the administration of non-disclosure agreements and client documentation.
  • Assist with direct client invoicing processes and maintain accurate records and trackers.
  • Produce and maintain team reporting, meeting materials and other business support documentation.
  • Underwriting, pre-bind processing, and servicing of new and renewal business within authority levels and in accordance with the business plan.
  • Pre-populate underwriting renewal template reports with all additional material and database data.
  • Support the team in developing rating tools.
  • Assist with the maintenance of portfolio data.
  • Carry out compliance checks, including sanctions screening and contract certainty.
  • Broker & Client Engagement
  • Attend client meetings and support the team with client development.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key broking partners.
  • New business and renewal chasing to brokers and clients.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and efficiencies across the team.
  • Contribute to team projects and initiatives, taking ownership for activities within your area of responsibility.
  • Design, implement and maintain process controls to ensure quality of the output for your area.

Ensure documentation of the processes and output is accurate, up-to-date and accessible.

Skills & experience

  • Prior experience within the insurance market or relevant sector with transferable skills.
  • An interest in political, economic, sovereign and market-driven risks.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Organised and able to manage workload efficiently.
  • Able to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships.
  • A curious and proactive mindset, with a willingness to learn and develop.
