Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 5:00pm

Job Overview: HD Workwear is a growing custom workwear business supplying embroidered and printed clothing to trades, businesses and organisations. We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Assistant Shop Manager / Production Lead to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our shop and production operation. This role suits someone confident working independently and trusted to manage the shop, production, stock and customer orders from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shop & Security
    • Open and close the shop daily (keyholder responsibility)
    • Run the shop independently during opening hours
    • Maintain a safe, clean and organised workspace
  • Production
    • Operate embroidery machinery (training provided if required)
    • Carry out DTF printing and garment preparation
    • Produce customer orders accurately and on time
    • Quality-check finished items
  • Orders & Stock
    • Manage customer orders from receipt to completion
    • Prepare orders for collection or dispatch
    • Monitor and manage stock levels
    • Receive and check deliveries
  • Customer Service
    • Serve customers in-store, by phone and by email
    • Handle general queries, order updates and basic quotes
    • Provide professional and friendly service at all times
  • General
    • Identify and report delays, faults or supply issues
    • Keep basic records related to orders and stock
    • Support general business operations as needed

Requirements

  • Reliable, trustworthy and punctual
  • Comfortable working alone and taking responsibility
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicating with customers
  • Willing to learn embroidery and printing processes
  • Experience in retail, embroidery, printing or production
  • Experience with stock management or order processing

Full training will be provided where required. This role is subject to a 6-month probation period, during which attendance, performance and suitability for the role will be reviewed.
