Design Technician

Responsibilities:

• Produce, check and process incoming design drawing requests, technical documentation and technical calculations.
• Liaise with clients and Area Technical Managers.
• Deal with telephone and email enquiries.
• General administration.
• Keep up to date with flat roof waterproofing system construction.
• Keep up to date with Industry Codes of Practice & Building Regulations.
• Keep up to date with of Part L & Thermal Calculations.

Any other duties deemed necessary to meet the demands of the department and business, including:

• Assist within other areas of the Technical Department during any staff shortage.
• Be flexible to work additional hours as and when the need arises.
• Be flexible to work off site/attend meetings as required.
• Provide day to day support within the Department as the business demands.

Key skills:

• Basic level of CAD experience is essential.
• Good understanding of specification construction, survey reports and construction drawings.
• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings is essential.
