HD Tech are partnering with a leading manufacturer in the construction materials sector to recruit a Technical Team Manager. Reporting to the Head of Technical, this role will lead the Technical Services Team, ensuring high standards of technical support, service quality, team performance, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Technical Services Team.
- Manage, coach, and develop Managers, Supervisors, Coordinators, and wider technical staff.
- Drive team performance, efficiency, and KPI delivery.
- Oversee the production of technical specifications, reports, calculations, and drawings.
- Ensure technical standards, processes, and industry codes are followed.
- Support with complex technical issues, complaints, guarantee matters, and risk mitigation.
- Work closely with Compliance, HR, IT, Sales, and Technical Development teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and continuous development.
- Help maintain strong working relationships across the business and with external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong leadership experience managing larger teams in a technical services environment.
- Solid technical knowledge, ideally within construction, building envelope, roofing, or building products.
- Experience improving processes, managing performance, and leading change.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Organised, proactive, and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Emotionally intelligent leader who can build trust and develop teams.

- Knowledge of building & construction.
Salary on offer
£55,000 - £60,000 Depending on experience Annual 10% of salary company bonus Relocation package- £8,000 tax-free for (depending on circumstances/criteria) to support any successful candidates who do not live within an hour the head office, in order to relocate to them.
