About the Company

Our client is a well-established enterprise software vendor operating at the forefront of business intelligence, analytics, AI, and data-driven transformation. The company works with large enterprise customers to help them improve decision-making, modernise their data strategy, and drive measurable business outcomes through advanced software solutions.

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing commercial team in a strategic new-business sales role, focused on complex enterprise opportunities across the UK market.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to own and develop a defined enterprise territory. This is a quota-carrying individual contributor role suited to a proven new-business hunter with experience selling complex software solutions into large organisations. The role will be weighted toward new logo acquisition, with an approximate split of 70% new business and 30% expansion within existing accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for building pipeline, engaging senior stakeholders, managing complex sales cycles, and closing high-value enterprise deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle from prospecting through to close.
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline across target enterprise accounts.
  • Develop strategic account plans, win plans, and value-led customer engagement strategies.
  • Engage with C-level, business, IT, data, and analytics stakeholders.
  • Sell using a consultative, value-based approach, supported by ROI, TCO, and business case development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including SDR/Inside Sales, Sales Engineering, Marketing, Professional Services, and Partner teams.
  • Drive new logo acquisition while identifying expansion opportunities within existing customers.
  • Prepare accurate forecasts and maintain sales activity through CRM.
  • Represent the business at industry events, customer meetings, and market-facing initiatives.
  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in quota-carrying enterprise software sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong new-business hunting mentality and pipeline-generation discipline.
  • Experience selling into large enterprise accounts.
  • Background in business intelligence, analytics, AI, cloud software, CRM, ERP, data platforms, or related enterprise technologies.
  • Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Strong knowledge of MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or similar enterprise sales methodologies.
  • Ability to build compelling business cases around value, ROI, and total cost of ownership.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to engage senior decision-makers.
  • Self-starter with strong commercial discipline, resilience, and accountability.
  • Experience selling business intelligence, analytics, data preparation, ETL, database, or enterprise data warehouse solutions.
  • Knowledge of big data, AI, or modern cloud data platforms.
  • Existing network across large enterprise accounts in the UK market.
  • Experience working with partners, systems integrators, or channel-led sales motions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a commercially driven enterprise seller who thrives in a high-performance environment. They will be confident opening doors, creating pipeline, navigating complex organisations, and closing strategic software deals. This role would suit someone who is motivated by high earning potential, ownership of a defined territory, and the opportunity to sell business-critical enterprise technology.
