Freelance - Maintenance Gardener

HD Landscape Gardeners Ltd is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Maintenance / Landscape Gardener to join our growing team. Whether you\’re seeking a full-time role or freelance work, this is a great opportunity to work with a well-established local landscaping business creating stunning gardens across South West London and North Surrey.

The Role:

As a Landscape Gardener, you\’ll work on a wide variety of projects from start to finish, including:

• Full garden makeovers
• Hard landscaping (patios, decking, paving, fencing, garden structures)
• Soft landscaping (planting, turfing, garden design)
• General garden maintenance and improvements
• Working with a team or independently on-site
• Ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and customer service

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret landscape drawings/plans
• Prepare sites (clearance, excavation, levelling)
• Install hard and soft landscaping features
• Operate tools, machinery, and landscaping equipment safely
• Maintain a tidy and professional work environment
• Liaise politely with clients and represent the HD Landscape Gardeners brand

Requirements:

• Experience in a previous Maintenance & Landscaping and gardening roles would be advantageous
• Excellent practical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work hard in all weather conditions
• Self-motivated and reliable
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence and own transport (essential)
• Own tools and PPE (for freelance applicants)
• CSCS card or relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
• Public liability insurance (freelancers only)

Pay: £22,500.00-£40,000.00 per year
