Do you have a flair for crafting a catchy message, and a curiosity about creativity and culture? You’ll be the bridge between HCT and our wider network, helping shape how we share our stories and make our impact more visible. You’ll deliver communications across digital channels, publications, and our sector networks, while supporting spokespersons and project teams to shape and share their message. You’ll also lead our corporate media relations, acting as a first point of contact for organisational press inquiries and using PR channels as part of your communications plan. You’ll manage communication channels and support on service development for Culture Connects, a sector partnership led by HCT as part of its remit as a National Portfolio Organisation for Arts Council England.
A bit about you: You may be new to the cultural sector, but your experience has already sharpened your technical writing, digital communication, and people skills. You know your way around modern communication systems and platforms, and you use them to write, edit, publish, track, and measure your work efficiently. You’re a natural networker who builds strong relationships fast. Collaboration comes easily to you, and you love seeing a project through from start to finish. You take initiative and work confidently toward goals. You understand risk and know when to flag an issue to protect both reputation and outcomes. When the unexpected happens, you stay calm, prioritise, and tackle challenges one step at a time.
