We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated pharmacy team at HMP Norwich. The post holder will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an efficient, safe and comprehensive pharmaceutical service within the prison pharmacy departments.

As a Pharmacy Technician, your days will be rewarding and varied; you will work on a wing where you will be responsible for the administration of medication to patients and the associated medication management activities, including audits and stock checks under the direction of the Clinical Lead and the Pharmacist Manager. You will be expected to work autonomously within guidelines, standard operating procedures and Medicine Policy. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated pharmacy technician who is committed to accuracy, teamwork and patient-focused service delivery in a unique and rewarding healthcare environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the administration of medication to patients and the associated medication management activities, including audits and stock checks under the direction of the Clinical Lead and the Pharmacist Manager.
  • Work autonomously within guidelines, standard operating procedures and Medicine Policy.
  • Work as an active member of the Pharmaceutical team to assist in ensuring the delivery of a legal, safe, high-quality specialist prison pharmaceutical service which reflects National and local policy and priorities.
