We have a fantastic opportunity within our SET CAMHS Team (part of Targeted and System support services Essex) for an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and motivated to make a real difference in our community. At HCRG Care Group we believe our employees know best about the work they do. In this role you will be encouraged to innovate and use different approaches that are best for the children and young people that you are working closely with. The role also offers a great work life balance, overseeing the management of your own diary. Full time and part time hours are available within the hours of 8am till 8pm and you must be able to be flexible from Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday work.

Main Responsibilities

  • Hold a caseload of clients, delivering goal-based interventions to support their wellbeing.
  • Prevent more serious mental health problems in children and young people by early identification of the development of mental health problems.
  • Plan, deliver and review individual and group therapeutic interventions for specific patients.
  • Routinely measure clinical outcomes and deliver evidence-based clinical intervention.
  • Provide a direct service to children and young people and their families, in an accessible and less stigmatising environment, based on the best available research evidence, within clinical governance.
  • Oversee the development of Wellbeing Coaches and other practitioners within the service.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of a second-class Bachelors degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant subject (e.g. psychology) AND/OR a registerable professional qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. medicine, psychology, social work).
  • Further professional knowledge and skills gained through accredited CPD courses/workshops/study/in-house training.
  • 2 years experience in relevant area of mental health practice.
  • Experienced in delivery evidence based therapy.
  • Good understanding and experience of using Routine Outcome Measures.
  • Knowledge and direct clinical experience of adapting interventions and delivering them to CYP.
  • Experience of delivering and managing clinical risk.
  • Understanding of child development and psycho-social influences.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work autonomously but recognising the philosophy of effective integrated working.
  • Access to a car and full driving licence is essential requirement for this role.
