Overview
In this Finance Business Partner role, you will take end-to-end financial ownership for your area, delivering actionable insights to drive commercial decisions. You’ll partner with operational and product leads, combining management accounting with profitability analysis and product costing to influence strategy. The position sits within a large health and care organisation, offering remote work with occasional travel to the Runcorn Head Office. You’ll balance detailed financial modelling with the ability to explain complex numbers to non-finance colleagues. This is an opportunity to own the numbers, shape financial plans, and drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities
- Own month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments, income recognition and balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce monthly performance reporting with variance analysis and insightful commentary
- Lead budgeting and forecasting, challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities
- Maintain rolling forecasts and help senior stakeholders understand financial position between cycles
- Build and maintain financial models to support commercial and operational decisions
- Provide product and contract profitability analysis to understand margin movements and identify improvement opportunities
- Deliver product costing and commercial analysis to support pricing, business cases and contracts
- Collaborate with operational and product leaders to provide constructive challenge and drive commercial decisions
- Ensure sales and billing information accuracy and manage aged debt with Accounts Receivable and Credit Control
- Translate complex financial data into clear insights for non-finance colleagues
- Foster cross-functional relationships to integrate Finance into key business decisions
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent – qualified, or part-qualified with strong experience
- Strong management accounting experience (month-end, journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations)
- Experience creating budgets and rolling forecasts with variance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and robust financial modelling ability
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex finance to non-finance colleagues
- Confidence to challenge, influence and build credibility with stakeholders
- Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work independently while building relationships across Finance and the wider business
