We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Nurse Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about patient care and eager to develop their clinical skills while working towards a recognised nursing qualification. You will be supported through a structured training programme, gaining hands-on experience while studying alongside experienced healthcare professionals.
The post holder will work as a member of community services and the wider multidisciplinary team, providing a high standard of holistic and person-centred nursing care to patients on the district nursing caseload. The post holder will also be required to complete the Nurse Associate Foundation degree undertaken with the affiliated University.
The post holder will be required to carry out a wide range of duties delegated by a suitably registered practitioner, implementing the core values of nursing care (compassion, competence, communication, courage, care and commitment) during the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care for the local population. They will work with their clinical and academic assessors to complete the competencies required by the NMC.
Responsibilities:- Provide holistic and person-centred nursing care to patients on the district nursing caseload in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Follow the trainee nurse associate programme with an affiliated University, attend study days and external placements, and complete academic work to achieve the nurse associate qualification and NMC registration.
- Carry out a wide range of duties delegated by a suitably registered practitioner while upholding core nursing values during assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care.
- Engage with clinical and academic assessors to complete required competencies for the NMC.
- Required qualifications to be accepted on an academic programme and a commitment to undertaking any additional studies to meet the requirements.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work independently, using own initiative and knowing when to seek advice.
- Full UK driving license and access to a car.
- Desirable: Previous experience in a care or health setting.
- Desirable: Experience of managing patients with complex needs in the community.
- Desirable: Understanding national drivers and guidance relevant to the community, or willingness to learn.
