Overview
As a Finance Business Partner, you own financial performance for a key area, blending management accounting with commercial finance to influence decisions. You’ll partner with operational and product leaders, turning numbers into actionable insights. You balance detailed analysis with strategic view, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and profitability improvements. This role offers autonomy, remote working with occasional travel, and a chance to shape financial decisions across a diverse healthcare organisation.

Responsibilities
- End-to-end financial ownership for your area including month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce monthly performance reporting with variance analysis and actionable commentary
- Lead budgeting and rolling forecasts with challenge of assumptions and identification of risks/opportunities
- Maintain rolling forecasts and help stakeholders understand financial position between cycles
- Build and maintain financial models to support commercial/operational decisions
- Provide product costing and contract profitability analysis to drive margin improvement
- Support pricing, business cases and contract opportunities with financial insight
- Challenge and influence stakeholders by translating complex numbers into clear insights
- Ensure accuracy of sales and billing information and manage aged debt with Accounts Receivable/Credit Control
- Develop strong cross-functional relationships to embed Finance in key decisions
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent – qualified, or part-qualified with strong relevant experience
- Strong management accounting experience (month-end, journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations)
- Experience budgeting and rolling forecasts with variance analysis
- Advanced Excel and robust financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical ability to interpret financial information beyond reporting
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex financials to non-finance colleagues
- Confidence to challenge, influence and build credibility with stakeholders
- Proactive, organized, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work independently while building relationships across Finance and the business
