Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for a bank Specialty Doctor/ GP to join our South Wiltshire Locality Hospital at Home service. Post will be based at Amesbury, Wilton or Salisbury, with some remote working. Work 6 sessions per week, with flexibility around hours to meet service needs. Occasional weekend working may be required. Provide clinical assessment and management of patients, support the multidisciplinary team in delivering Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment, and promote safe and timely discharge through close collaboration with the MDT, patients, and families.

- Clinical Practice – Deliver advanced, evidence‑based care, skilled in assessment, diagnosis, planning, and rapid response to patient needs.
- Non‑Medical Prescribing – Act as an active prescriber ensuring safe, timely medication management and collaboration with pharmacy teams.
- Leadership – Inspire colleagues by role‑modeling high standards, breaking down barriers, and championing safe, high‑quality care.
- Audit & Research – Shape best practice through research, audit, and continuous improvement to benefit patients and teams.

The Ideal Candidate
- Full GMC registration, eligible to work in the UK.
- Experience at specialty registrar level or as a GP, with strong background in geriatric, acute, or general medicine, particularly frailty care.
- Sound knowledge of the NHS, clinical governance, health policy, and evidence‑based practice.
- Skilled in clear, accurate medical documentation, proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and solutions‑focused approach.
- Reliable team player who values collaboration, trust, and quality care.
- Flexible, organised, and able to manage time, change, and competing priorities effectively.
- Resilient under pressure with good judgement, discretion, and professionalism.
