We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Receptionist/Administrator to join our multidisciplinary team at Buryfields Clinic, Guildford. This is a vital role at the heart of our service, providing high-quality customer service and essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our dental clinics.
If you have prior experience working as an administrator or an NVQ Reception/Administrator qualification we would love to hear from you! As you will work flexibly across sites, a UK driving license and access to a car for work purposes would be required for the role.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide a welcoming and supportive front-line service to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Operate and manage appointment systems, including scheduling, prioritising, and filling cancellations.
- Handle telephone and face-to-face enquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate patient records (both electronic and paper-based), manage referral and recall lists, and ensure timely data entry and analysis.
- Support clinicians by preparing day lists and coordinating patient notes.
- Process incoming and outgoing post, referrals, and reports.
- Liaise with other clinics and services to support patient care pathways.
- Contribute to service improvements by implementing and adapting policies and procedures.
- Provide general clerical and administrative support including filing, scanning, photocopying, and typing.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Guidelines.
- Good standard of written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance.
