Join our team as a Bank Occupational Therapist at HCRG Care Group. We are looking for a compassionate, motivated occupational therapist to support our Children’s Community Health Team, providing high‑quality assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to children and families.

Main Responsibilities
- Carrying out high‑quality ADOS assessments as part of a Multi‑Disciplinary Team (MDT) for children and young people.
- Assess and provide tailored advice and interventions for children with diverse needs.
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans in collaboration with families and carers.
- Recommend and support the use of specialist equipment for home and school settings.
- Liaise with professionals across health, education, social care, and voluntary sectors to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide sensitive and effective communication with children and their families, adapting to their needs and circumstances.
- Contribute to team performance targets and participate in supervision, training and team meetings.
- Assist with prioritising treatment goals for children with complex needs or terminal illnesses, ensuring appropriate discharge planning and referrals.
Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Knowledge/training in ASD strategies and interventions e.g. PECS, SCERTS, ADOS.
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Registered and compliant with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Evidence of Post‑graduate training or equivalent experience relevant to speciality such as child development, autism, ADHD, neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Demonstrable post‑registration experience of working with children in a similar area of paediatric practice.
- Experience of using a range of assessments and treatment methods.
Desirable
- Member of BAPT.
- Membership of a special interest group.
- Clinical Educator qualification.
- Experience working in a community setting delivering children’s occupational therapy services.
