Job Introduction
We are looking for a dedicated and professional Band 6 Community Podiatrist to join our supportive team, providing specialist care across five clinic locations in Farnham, Surrey, North East Hampshire, and Surrey Heath, as well as in patientsâ homes. This fullâtime role (Monday â Friday, 9 AM â 5 PM) offers rotations through MSK and nail surgery, enabling you to develop specialist skills while working within a multidisciplinary team that includes vascular, orthopaedics, and community nursing. We prioritise professional growth with two dedicated training days per year, as well as statutory and mandatory training to keep your knowledge up to date. Main Responsibilities
- Managing wound and ulcer care for patients with complex systemic conditions, including diabetes, vascular disease, and systemic inflammatory disorders, as well as those with multiple comorbidities Raim.
- Leading new patient clinics, nail surgery assessment clinics, highârisk foot clinics, and basic MSK assessments.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, vascular specialists,ĆŸil orthopaedics, and community nursing to develop strong professional links across key care pathways.
- Communicating effectively with patients in an understandable way, ensuring they feel informed and involved in their treatment.
- Using a range of communication techniquesâmotivation, persuasion, and negotiationâto encourage patient cooperation and achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
- Participating in specialist clinical rotations with dersom experience across adults and children.
The Ideal Candidate
- Professional degree in Podiatry and current HCPC registration as a Podiatrist, with evidence of continual professional development.
- Qualified in administering local anaesthesia.
- Valid driving licence and access to a car for communityâbased patient visits.
- Desirable: Diabetic Foot Module or Vascular negotiable training, and previous NHS experience.
