The Role

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to individuals with a range of mental health needs while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and effective mental health nursing care in line with NMC standards.
  • Complete patient assessments, care planning, risk assessments, and clinical reviews.
  • Support individuals experiencing acute and complex mental health conditions.
  • Administer medication safely and monitor patient responses.
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Promote recovery-focused care, independence, dignity, and patient wellbeing.
  • Recognise changes in patients' mental and physical health and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
  • Work effectively alongside multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Follow safeguarding, infection prevention, and clinical governance procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Current NMC Registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Minimum 6 months' UK mental health nursing experience.
  • Previous experience within mental health hospitals, inpatient services, community mental health, or specialist settings.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS.
  • Professional references covering the last 3 years of employment.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach.
  • Right to work in the UK.
