A leadership seat at a high-conviction PE firm. Build the portfolio. Shape the firm. Make partner.
A London-based institutional private equity firm is appointing a Director of Investments / Partner to lead its deal origination and execution capability. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will set the investment agenda, chair deal reviews and take full ownership of transactions from thesis to completion.
This is a leadership role, not a next-step promotion. We are looking for someone who has already led an investment team, run a sector or geography at a fund, headed an M&A or Corporate Development function, or held a comparable C-suite position — and is ready to take that experience into a platform where they will have real equity in the outcome.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
- Current or recent Partners, Directors or Heads of Investment at PE funds, growth equity firms or institutional investment platforms
- Senior M&A professionals at investment banks, advisory firms or corporate finance houses with 10–12+ years’ experience leading transactions
- Heads of Corporate Development, Chief Strategy Officers or C-suite executives at portfolio companies, healthcare groups or financial services businesses
- Sector Heads at mid-market or large-cap PE firms looking for a more entrepreneurial platform with meaningful economics
Minimum 10 years in investments or M&A, with deep experience leading complex transactions through to completion
Proven, attributable track record of sourcing, structuring and closing deals
SECTOR FOCUS
Core sectors: technology, financial services, insurance and professional services. Candidates with additional depth in healthcare or business services are of particular interest — both are growing strategic priorities for the firm.
COMPENSATION
- Market-competitive base reflecting seniority
- Significant performance-linked bonus
- Generous GP carry allocation from appointment
- Accelerated and clearly defined path to full equity partnership
This role requires a principal-level investment or M&A professional with genuine leadership credentials. Only candidates currently in senior, full-time positions will be considered.
