Our client is a Private Equity Investment firm based in London, dedicated to investments in technologies, professional services, insurance industry and financial services.
We are looking for a Principal / Director of Investments, London-based. Please only apply if you have demonstrable Private Equity buyout and/or M&A experience within the healthcare sector, gained either through private equity investments in healthcare or direct M&A exposure within healthcare-focused platforms or portfolio companies. Only candidates with full-time employment and the relevant sector experience will be considered.
- Demonstrable investment experience in Private Equity buyout and/or M&A in the healthcare sector.
- A proven track record of sourcing, executing and managing PE investments.
- Minimum 10 years' working experience in investments from which minimum of 7 years working experience in PE funds.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment and work independently with deadlines requiring a quick turnaround.
- Demonstrable ability to independently source deal flow.
- A good understanding and practical experience of core relevant investment sectors.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong analytic, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Must have strong intellectual curiosity, an entrepreneurial spirit.
Core Responsibilities
As a Private Equity Principal / Director Investments, you will be working directly with and supporting the CIO of the fund. This is a senior role, and your main responsibilities will include sourcing investment opportunities, reviewing/discussing them with the CIO, and presenting your findings to the entire Investment Committee. Once approved you will have the responsibility to lead the transaction execution for a successful acquisition.

- Conduct sourcing, investment research, due diligence, and analysis of potential investments and develop investment recommendations.
- The role also includes advocating for operational and process changes to move towards a more data driven organisational paradigm.
- Financial analysis of potential investments and lead the due diligence process for potential investments from start to finish.
- Work with the teams' researchers and analysts to verify the best opportunities.
- Stay up to date on development within the industry.
- Provide forward-looking views with a high degree of transparency to Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders.
Please be aware that this is a very senior role. For the right candidate with the right background, there is the opportunity in the short term for the role to grow and could include joining the management team in charge of all LBOs and Growth Equity Funds at the firm.
