A London-headquartered institutional private equity firm is appointing a Head of Capital Formation / Partner to build and lead its investor relations and fundraising function. Reporting to executive leadership, you will own the entire capital formation strategy — from LP targeting and roadshow execution to final close.
This is a mandate for someone who has already built or led a fundraising capability — at a fund, placement agent or private bank — and wants to do it again at a platform where the economics are real and the path to partnership is defined.
If you have been a Head of IR, Head of Distribution, Head of Institutional Sales, Head of Private Wealth, or held a comparable leadership role, this is your opportunity.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR- Institutional Leaders: Heads of Institutional Sales, LP Relations or Capital Development at PE firms, hedge funds or alternative asset managers
- 15+ years in institutional fundraising with 5+ at a senior leadership level
- Established relationships across pension funds, sovereign wealth, endowments and fund-of-funds
- Strong technical fluency with alternative fund structures and institutional compliance requirements
- Heads of Private Wealth Distribution, Family Office Coverage or UHNWI Origination at asset managers, private banks or placement agents
- 15+ years in capital formation across family offices, UHNWI and HNWI channels
- Deep, active LP network with a demonstrable record of unlocking capital commitments
- Ability to translate complex strategies into compelling, commercially effective narratives
- Both Tracks: Entrepreneurial leader — has built or scaled a fundraising function, not just inherited one
- Executive-level communicator who can distil complexity for the most sophisticated investor audiences
- Exposure to DeepTech / AI themes advantageous but not essential — firm-supported learning available
- Market-leading base commensurate with seniority
- Performance-linked bonus tied directly to capital raised
- GP carry eligibility from appointment
- Defined and accelerated pathway to full equity partnership
