What does this Senior Support Worker job involve?

Hours of Work: 25 - 48 Hours Per Week - Shifts 07:00 - 14:00 / 14:00 - 22:00

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support with daily living activities (e.g., washing, dressing, toileting, feeding).
  • Ensure service user safety and wellbeing, responding effectively to emergencies and escalating concerns appropriately.
  • Follow and implement individual care plans and risk assessments, maintaining accurate records of care and observations.
  • Support service users with domestic tasks, meal preparation, medication collection, and financial errands as outlined in care plans.
  • Promote engagement and comfort through meaningful activities, outings, and companionship.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and senior staff to deliver coordinated care.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments and adhere to company protocols and CQC standards.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with service users, colleagues, and management.
  • Work flexibly to meet service demands and participate in training and team meetings.

  • Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes with business insurance or willing to have one

  • NVQ Level 2/3 or work towards to it
