What does this Support Worker job involve?

Hours of Work: Up To 42 Hours Per Week – Shifts: 07:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 21:00 / 21:00 – 07:00

This service provides care to 7 people with complex needs, the role will include:

  • Personal care.
  • Manual handling as people we support have physical disabilities.
  • Assisting with daily activities such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Building strong lasting relationships with the people we support – get to know them.
  • Going out and enjoying the day – this can look like going to day centres, the park, running general errands.
  • Doing activities within the service, music, drawing etc.

Am I the right person for this Support Worker job?

  • The service is in How Wood, with limited public transport; we do require a car driver.
  • Key requirement is flexibility – the service provides care 24/7.
  • Experience is preferred as the people we support can display behaviours of distress; however we do provide full comprehensive training, so the right values are of most importance.
