Trade and Retail Parts Advisor vacancy near Sidcup, Kent! Our client has an immediate career opportunity for an experienced Parts Advisor to join their fast-paced Parts department near Sidcup, Kent.
The Role
- An opportunity has arisen to join a busy Parts department as Parts Advisor.
- You will be familiar with accurately recording data; supplying and ordering vehicle parts for internal technicians; trade and retail customers.
- Have a knowledge of vehicle mechanics and parts, as this is valuable for assisting customers with orders and offering guidance on the additional parts required to complete the job.
- Communicating on the phones, email and in person and accurately documenting sales.
The Candidate
- Ideally; experience as a Parts Advisor, using parts catalogues is preferred; however, our clients may also consider a motor vehicle enthusiast with a knowledge of vehicle mechanics and parts; as training can be provided for the right candidate.
- You will also be familiar with dealing with all aspects of vehicle parts; including using manufacturer parts catalogues, checking physical stock availability; ordering; pre-picking; invoicing and handling sales debtors and payment.
- A flexible and customer focused approach will be beneficial to this role; as it is customer facing.
- Customer focused, helpful and happy to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Package
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary package of up to £35,000 OTE, dependent upon level of experience, including the opportunity to enhance your earnings with Bonus and career development through manufacturer training.
Hours
Working 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm Saturdays (1 in 3).
Requirements
- Experience of working as a Parts Advisor in a similar Parts Retail or Trade environment.
- A willingness to learn and follow a process.
- Able to communicate well on the phone; emails and in person.
- Flexible, customer focused and team working approach.
- Knowledge of looking up vehicle parts using a Parts Catalogue. Kerridge and Microsoft Office, or similar experience, would be preferable.
