Are you passionate about international sourcing, food innovation, and building connections between global suppliers and UK retailers? We’re looking for an experienced professional to join an exciting Mexico–UK trade development project as an International Food Sourcing Manager.

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands (Also open to candidates based in Manchester, Leeds, or London)

Contract: 6-month

Salary: GBP £3,800 – £4,500/month

Quarterly bonus (10%)

Travel expenses covered

Your Mission

You will connect premium food manufacturers from Mexico and Latin America with UK retailers and distributors, acting as the key bridge between international suppliers and British retail chains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and qualify international packaged food suppliers (snacks, sauces, beverages, ready-to-eat products)
  • Coordinate meetings and matchmaking agendas with UK retail buyers and category managers
  • Manage product sampling, certifications, and logistics processes
  • Prepare bilingual (English/Spanish) technical sheets and commercial presentations
  • Track sourcing KPIs and supplier performance metrics

Ideal Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Food Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing/procurement for UK retailers or food distributors
  • Strong network within the UK retail and food distribution industry
  • Knowledge of BRC, ISO 22000, and UK/EU labelling standards
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English
