ABOUT THE ROLE
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting accounting and financial reporting activities related to Welltower’s UK-based partnerships and operator relationships. This role will serve as a critical liaison between our London-based operations and our U.S. accounting teams, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data. The position requires a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong understanding of financial statements, internal controls, and multi-entity reporting. The successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative approach and the ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional and cross-border environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the flow of financial information between UK-based business partners/operators and internal/external stakeholders.
- Perform monthly financial data uploads and reconciliations of operator submissions.
- Prepare supporting workpapers and execute monthly internal control procedures for partnership accounting.
- Consolidate operator data for use in financial and non-financial reporting and performance analysis.
- Produce accurate partnership financial statements using accounting systems and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Calculate and process monthly distributions to UK-based business partners.
- Assist in compiling and analysing data required for tax preparation and compliance.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing requested documentation and resolving auditor queries.
- Conduct initial review of monthly operator financial submissions and investigate anomalies or variances.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
This is a 100% office-based role in Central London.
- 1–3 years of experience in public accounting or a corporate finance/accounting environment preferred.
- Actively working towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a strong desire to pursue one — is essential.
- Working knowledge of UK GAAP is required; familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP is preferred.
