JOB SUMMARY
This is a rare opportunity to join the senior leadership team responsible for one of the UK's largest healthcare real estate portfolios, comprising approximately £10B of senior's housing investments.
This role is intended for an experienced Asset Management leader who thrives on creating value, rather than reporting it.
The successful candidate will help lead the UK Asset Management function day-to-day, setting strategy, developing the team, and acting as the senior commercial partner to Operators and internal stakeholders.
You will be accountable for maximising long-term portfolio performance by actively shaping business plans, challenging operators, allocating capital and identifying opportunities to grow income and value.
Success will be measured by financial outcomes, strategic execution and leadership impact—not the production of portfolio reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, grow and develop the UK Asset Management team, establishing clear priorities, high standards and a culture of ownership.
- Define and execute portfolio and asset-level strategies to maximise long-term value.
- Own commercial performance across the portfolio, driving occupancy, rate growth, EBITDA, NOI and valuation.
- Challenge operators on pricing, labour, quality, capital deployment and strategic direction.
- Lead executive-level relationships with operating partners and joint venture partners.
- Identify and execute value creation opportunities including redevelopment, extensions, repositioning, lease restructurings and operational initiatives.
- Recommend hold, sell, acquire and recapitalisation strategies.
- Prioritise capital allocation and present investment recommendations to executive leadership and Investment Committee.
- Support acquisitions, underwriting, due diligence, integration and disposals.
- Partner with Investments, Finance, Legal, Development and Capital Markets to deliver portfolio objectives.
- Build market intelligence to anticipate risks and opportunities before they emerge.

- MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 10–15+ years of institutional operational real estate, healthcare real estate, private equity or operational asset management experience.
- A proven leader who has built and developed high-performing teams.
- Track record of creating measurable value across complex real estate portfolios.
- Strong commercial judgement and confidence influencing CEOs and executive teams.
- Exceptional financial and strategic analytical capability.
- Ability to operate comfortably with senior executives and investment committees.
- Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business or similar.
