Role and responsibilities:

  • Should have minimum 6+ years experience in SQL Database Administration.
  • Responsible for installation, configuration and migration of SQL Server (2012, 2016, 2019 & 2022).
  • Implementing new technologies and design changes whenever required.
  • Applying patches/upgrades to maintain security level.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of MS SQL Architecture, file groups, partitioning, schemas, snapshots, memory etc.
  • SQL Server Database basic administration and exposure on latest features.
  • Handling of day-to-day activities: blockings, long running transactions, deadlocks etc.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to TempDb, transaction log and system databases.
  • Instance/database monitoring/configuring DB Mail/SQL Mail and alerts & operators.
  • Good knowledge of index management & statistics.
  • Good exposure on SSIS, SSRS.
  • Knowledge and troubleshooting issues related to HA (log shipping, mirroring, AlwaysOn etc.).
  • Scheduling database backups, taking full and transaction log backups.
  • Implementing SQL Server database security policy.
  • Experience with database migration, installation, upgrades and patching.
  • Experience in T-SQL, PowerShell scripting.
  • Working knowledge of cluster.
  • Experience in performance tuning (query and instance level).
  • Good in English communication.
  • Good in ITSM process (incidents, change & problem).
