Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with 18-20 years of experience in leading large-scale enterprise transformation programs within the Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) domain. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise across Java Full Stack technologies, Microservices, Cloud, Digital Banking Platforms, AI-enabled Engineering practices, and extensive experience managing globally distributed teams while engaging directly with CXO-level stakeholders and banking clients.
The candidate will serve as a strategic leader driving delivery excellence, technology modernization, client relationships, and organizational growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Delivery Leadership
- Lead multiple large-scale banking transformation programs with budgets exceeding $10M.
- Own end-to-end delivery, planning, execution, governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Establish program governance models, delivery metrics, and executive reporting.
- Drive Agile, SAFe, Scrum, and DevOps adoption across delivery portfolios.
- Manage distributed engineering teams of 50-200+ members.
- Act as primary interface for banking clients, business sponsors, and senior leadership.
- Conduct steering committee meetings and executive-level project reviews.
- Build trusted relationships with client CIOs, CTOs, Enterprise Architects, and Business Heads.
- Manage expectations, escalations, contractual commitments, and delivery KPIs.
Technical Leadership
- Guide engineering teams on architecture and technology decisions.
- Drive modernization initiatives from monolithic applications to cloud-native microservices architectures.
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements within Banking and Financial Services.
- Review solution architecture, scalability, resiliency, and performance aspects.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted software development practices.
- Improve engineering productivity through GenAI-enabled development frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for AI-driven testing, code review, documentation, and production support automation.
- Champion intelligent SDLC practices across delivery organizations.
- Mentor Delivery Managers, Architects, Technical Leads, and Engineering Managers.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, hiring, and retention strategies.
- Build high-performing engineering teams and delivery culture.
