The QA & Business Analyst (BA) will combine both technical and analytical skills to provide testing services to systems, primarily developed in ServiceNow and SAP technologies. The QA & Business Analyst (BA) will be a member of the Quality Assurance team working closely with the development teams, and other areas of IT to address operational challenges, respond/align to evolving business needs and ensure that strategic goals are met.
SCOPE OF SERVICES AND WORK
- Quality Assurance: Define, prepare, and execute test strategies and test cases for SAP and ServiceNow integration applications. Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing. Validate system changes through ServiceNow Change Requests and ensure updates align with CMDB standards. Log and track defects, perform root cause analysis, and work closely with development teams for resolution. Ensure QA processes align with ITIL framework and banking governance standards.
- Business Analysis: Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements from internal stakeholders. Translate complex business needs into clear specifications, user stories, and process flows. Collaborate with project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure delivery aligns with regulatory and operational expectations. Support gap analysis, impact assessments, and end-to-end process mapping for SAP-ServiceNow related changes. Ensure traceability of requirements through testing and implementation.
IMPLEMENTATION ARRANGEMENTS
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will work under the direct supervision of and report to the ADM and matrix reporting to QA function Practice Lead on all activities as specified above.
DELIVERABLES
- The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst shall be required to provide deliverables as specified in the above section βScope of Services and Workβ. Collaborates with development/QA teams to define requirements and ensure the acceptance criteria encompasses complete functional objectives (e.g. features, workflows, integration).
- Performs and oversees comprehensive risk assessments, prioritising the mitigation of functional failure modes (e.g. critical defects, integration issues) and non-functional threats (e.g. performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, compliance gaps).
- Helps to define and co-owns the overarching test automation quality strategy for the practice, ensuring automated functional testing is aligned with capability and organisational goals.
- Oversees and coordinates test planning, resolving dependencies or conflicts to uphold quality standards at scale.
- Ensures squads integrate both functional and non-functional acceptance criteria into planning and reviews whilst communicating testing progress, risk, and opportunities to capability leadership.
- Manages defect tracking categorising and prioritising both functional failures and non-functional shortfalls ensuring systematic, consistent resolution.
- Measures and improves quality metrics β covering functional outcomes benchmarks.
EXPECTED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of SAP QA experience, preferably in a financial services or banking environment.
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, ideally on IT programmes.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow (SNOW) β particularly Change Management and CMDB.
- Understanding of ITSM processes in a regulated environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills β able to interface with risk, compliance, and operational teams.
- Experience in the banking/financial services sector, particularly in regulatory or finance systems.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies or hybrid delivery frameworks.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Team player with proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines in a regulated environment.
REPORTING AND DELIVERABLES
- Communications and notification: The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will inform the ADM and matrix reporting to QA function Practice Lead before commencing any work.
- Summary report: The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will produce a Summary report after each test phase. This should include a breakdown of all work completed.
- Detailed final report: The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will produce a detailed final report once all assigned work is completed.
- Project Test Completion Reports: Documentation completed during the execution phase for an easy handover to transition or to other resources. Test cases developed and executed in the projects.
